The Team MOTOMIST
MOTOMIST is an official Project group from Mechanical Engineering Department of MIST, for the competition "Ecorun Bangladesh 2013" organised jointly by Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology(BUET) and Japan International Cooperation Agency(JICA).
MOTOMIST is a 4 wheeled vehicle designed and constructed by the students of Mechanical Engineering Department of MIST. The team comprises of students from both senior and junior years. The initial idea was to develop a model of a two seated passenger vehicle utilizing local resources. We, Sadi Mohammad Raiyan, Md. Faizul Abedin, Tanvir Ahmed along with S. M. Mahiture Romman, Al Amin and Imran Ahmed Antu started working together from 22 August 2012 and left no stones unturned to bring the concept into life. It was a completely new experience for all the team members. Building this vehicle with desired specification was never easy in such a limited time. We tried to construct a standard model with all the necessary systems associated with automobiles. Specifically, we had to face many challenges adjusting the transmission system since we tried to introduce a reverse gear mechanism attached with a motorcycle engine which is not a conventional practice. Adjusting Hydraulic brake, Suspension, rear-axle altogether was also a challenging task. Our respected faculty member guided assisted, and inspired us with their experience and wisdom. In the end, we can proudly say that we built our dream, we built MOTOMIST.
